With more than 7,6 million units already been sold in the previous 5 series models , bmw could not but make its best to set higher standards.There’s many new technologies available, including semi-autonomous driving systems and myriad driver aids. All versions will come with BMW’s Professional Media system and a 10.25-inch display with touch,voice,gesture control and the latest i-Drive set-up.
The changes are obvious in the front with new, sleeker LED headlamps integrated with the trademark kidney grille; adaptive LED lights with a 500-metre illumination range will also be available. The surfacing is more complex than it is on the current car, with a prominent shoulder line stretching back to the tail-lights, while the bonnet shut line has been removed. Twenty one exterior paint finishes will be available, while alloy wheels will range from 17 to 20 inches in diameter.
The chassis dimensions of the new 5 Series have increased over the outgoing model’s, with the total length of the car stretching by 36mm. The new model is also 6mm wider and 2mm taller than the previous version. Also in certain specifications, the new 5-series is up to 100kg lighter than its predecessor.
